Who Is This L.?

First of all, don’t worry, I know the “L. Sara” bit is pretentious. It started out as a joke in response to a journalism school peer whom I found to be pretentious (turns out he’s a great guy) and then it turned out I liked it. Plus, there is a reason behind each bit of my pen name.

With that out of the way:

I’m a writer in Calgary, Alberta. I have a degree in Journalism from what was, at the time, Mount Royal College. I’ve worked since 2003 as a freelance writer, covering mainly topics related to sustainability, parenting, fitness and health, homes and homebuilding, vacation properties, sex and relationships, and food. I have been published mainly in local and regional magazines and trade publications.

Since 2014, I have been ghostwriting blog posts for various businesses, and writing for social media on behalf of marketing clients (Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn). I am currently working on a non-fiction book on polyamory as well as at least two novels.
